Karl von Frisch Artificial Honeybee Eye

In his 1950 book, “Bees: Their Vision, Chemical Senses, and Language,” Karl von Frisch describes the honeybee’s ability to see polarized light and to use it to determine direction and time of day. In the appendix of his book, von Frisch describes how to make a model of the honeybee eye. This design is based on these instructions.

Print the base and cover in PLA at 50% infill to maintain rigidity, then add strips of polarized filter as described in the text to make your own model of a honeybee eye.
